Duty is the tariff rate for the product's HS code multiplied by the dutiable value. Spain assesses ad valorem duty on the CIF value: the price of the goods plus the cost of international freight and insurance to the point of entry. Import VAT (IVA) is then charged at 21% on CIF + duty. Enter your HS code or a product description above to get the exact rate for your goods.
The standard rate used by the calculator is 21% (IVA), charged on CIF + duty.
Consignments up to EUR 150 no longer enter duty free. From 1 July 2026 until 1 July 2028 a temporary flat customs duty of EUR 3 applies per item (each distinct tariff classification) instead of the ad valorem rate. Import VAT is due from the first euro, either collected at sale under IOSS or charged at import.
Yes. Spain uses CIF valuation, so international freight and insurance are added to the price of the goods before duty is calculated. Enter them in the shipping and insurance fields above.
The calculator applies no ad valorem entry fees or statutory surcharges for Spain. Broker, carrier and storage charges are not included.
Duties and import taxes in Spain are assessed in EUR. The calculator above accepts an invoice in USD or EUR and reports the result in the invoice currency you choose.
No trade agreement covering both Vietnam and Spain is on file in the LandedFees trade agreement database, so the calculator uses the standard (MFN) rate. Additional duties that depend on origin are applied where the tariff data has them.
