Landed cost, itemised at the source

The customs invoice you should have been getting all along.

Upload a commercial invoice. We read every line, classify it against the destination tariff schedule, and break out duty, VAT, MPF, Section 232 / 301 / 122, AD/CVD. Every number cites its primary source. Free, and we mean it.

No card. No trial. No usage cap. Your invoices stay on your account; nothing is shared with third parties.

Counted, not estimated

Every figure on this page is a query, not a slogan.

Tariff calculators tend to round generously. We don't. Below: the live state of the engine, queried when you loaded this page. If a number moves, this section moves with it. We'd rather show 39 destinations honestly than claim 200 we can't substantiate.

How it actually works

The same flow a customs broker walks,
in about sixty seconds.

Nothing exotic. We read the invoice. We classify each line. We cite every rate. The receipt at the top of this page was produced by the three steps below, in that order.

I

You upload a commercial invoice

Drop a PDF or photo. Multi-page documents are fine -- invoice, packing list, bill of lading, shipping bill, all in one file. The reader handles each section in turn.

We extract every line: HS code as printed, quantity, unit value, weight, origin country, freight, insurance, Incoterm, buyer, seller, ports, vessel, container number.

Anything we are not 100% certain about is flagged for you to verify before submit. The form will not silently smooth over an uncertain field.

II

We classify each line against the destination tariff schedule

US imports run against USITC HTS; the UK runs against the HMRC Trade Tariff; the EU against TARIC; everywhere else uses the destination's published schedule, falling back to the World Bank WITS bound rate when needed.

The classifier applies the WCO General Rules of Interpretation against the line description, cross-references CBP CROSS rulings for similar products, and proposes a 6 or 10 digit code with the reasoning attached. When confidence is below 85% we run three independent passes and either reach agreement or surface the disagreement.

Every alternative code we considered is recorded, so when you disagree, you can see exactly what was on the shortlist and why.

III

We itemise duty, taxes and fees, with citations

Every layer of the landed cost is named: MFN duty, Section 232, Section 301, Section 122, AD/CVD, VAT or GST or IGST, MPF, HMF, AFRMM, IPI, ICMS, country-specific levies.

Each line links to the primary source row that produced the rate and shows when that source was last verified. If a source has not refreshed in 14 days we say so, plainly, with an amber chip on the row.

The total comes with a range, not a single point. A typical +/- 5% uncertainty so you have a budget you can plan against. There is a PDF, there is a JSON receipt, and the math is identical to what a customs broker computes by hand.

Questions worth asking

Frequently asked questions

The honest answers, including what we do not do yet.

Yes, the calculator, HS lookup, FTA checker, screening, and document generation are free for unlimited use. We may launch a paid API tier later, but the web app stays free for individual importers and small businesses.

The numbers come from official sources: USITC HTS, EU TARIC, UK Online Trade Tariff, WITS/UN COMTRADE, and the WTO. AI is used only to classify products and to summarize compliance flags. The math itself is deterministic. That said, we are not a licensed customs broker, so always confirm with one before filing.

150+ destinations for MFN duty + VAT/GST. The US, EU member states, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, India, Brazil, Mexico, China, Singapore, and the UAE have full national tariff schedules. Other countries fall back to WTO bound and applied rates from WITS.

We track it. As of June 2026, Section 122 is at 15% across the board, with USMCA goods exempt and anti-stacking against Section 232. The current authority sunsets around July 24, 2026 unless Congress extends. If it lapses, we update the engine the same day and your saved calculations show the new effective rate alongside the previous one.
