Terms of Use

Last updated 17 July 2026

By using LandedFees.com (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service. These terms are governed by Indian law.

What the Service is

LandedFees.com is a free tool that estimates import duties, taxes, and total landed cost for international shipments. It reads commercial invoices, classifies goods against national tariff schedules, and stacks the applicable duty layers (MFN, Section 301/232/122, AD/CVD, VAT/GST, MPF, etc.). Every rate we surface cites its primary government source.

Estimates, not customs entries

The calculations we produce are estimates. They are not customs entries, not legal advice, and not a substitute for a licensed customs broker’s judgment. The final duty you pay at the port depends on the actual HS code your broker files, the CBP/DGFT/HMRC officer’s inspection, any supplementary tariffs in force on the date of entry, and specific exemptions or free-trade preferences you claim.

Always confirm duty exposure with a licensed customs broker before filing an entry. We are not responsible for over- or under-payment of duty resulting from reliance on our estimates.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your email address current and the login link private. Sign-in is via a one-time code we email you; anyone with access to that inbox can sign in as you.

Acceptable use

You may not:

Free tier

The Service is free with no usage cap or trial expiry. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers in the future for enterprise features (bulk feeds, SLA support, on-prem deployments); the core calculator will remain free for individual and small-team use.

Content you provide

You retain ownership of the invoices, line items, and other content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you (extract line items, classify HS codes, compute duties, store the calculation in your account). We do not use your uploads to train AI models or share them with other users.

Data sources

Tariff data, sanctions lists, and trade-flow benchmarks come from primary government and intergovernmental sources (USITC HTS, HMRC UK Trade Tariff, EU TARIC, UN Comtrade, US Census, Eurostat COMEXT, WITS, OFAC, CBP CSL, USITC AD/CVD, ITC Market Access Map, and others). We refresh each source on a documented cadence and publish live freshness at /admin/data-freshness. We do not warrant that any source is complete or error-free — upstream corrections and gaps happen.

Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates will match the duty ultimately assessed at the port.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of INR 5,000 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (which, on the free tier, is zero). We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by emailing hello@landedfees.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

When we materially change these terms we update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for logged-in users, send an email to the address on file.
