Monaco import duty FAQ
How is import duty calculated for goods shipped to Monaco?
Duty is the tariff rate for the product's HS code multiplied by the dutiable value. Monaco assesses ad valorem duty on the CIF value: the price of the goods plus the cost of international freight and insurance to the point of entry. Import VAT (TVA) is then charged at 20% on CIF + duty. Enter your HS code or a product description above to get the exact rate for your goods.
What is the import VAT rate in Monaco?
The standard rate used by the calculator is 20% (TVA), charged on CIF + duty.
Is there a de minimis threshold for imports into Monaco?
The EUR 150 de minimis threshold expired on 1 July 2026. Duty and import taxes now apply from the first unit of value.
Is shipping cost included in the dutiable value in Monaco?
