Seat add-ons
Every paid tier includes a base number of seats: Pro one, Growth five, Business fifteen. Add more with seat add-ons at 29 USD per seat per month. Add-ons stack additively on top of the base seat count for the tier (LFQG-101).
Seats are consumed by accepted invites. Adding a seat lets you invite one more teammate immediately.
How to buy an add-on seat
- Open /dashboard/billing.
- Scroll to the Seats card. It shows current base seats plus current purchased add-ons.
- Click Buy seat and pick the quantity you want.
- Confirm. Dodo charges the card, prorated for the remainder of the current billing period.
- Seats appear in your team invite pool instantly. Invite from /team.
Removing a seat happens at the next renewal, not immediately. If you buy an extra seat and remove the teammate later, the seat stays in your pool until you cancel the add-on.
How the cap actually works
The effective seat cap is the tier's base seats plus the sum of active purchased_seats rows (LFQG-101). Every invite counts against the effective cap. Try to invite past the cap and the UI blocks the send and prompts you to buy another seat.
Removing a member frees a seat immediately. Downgrading to viewer does not free the seat.

Can I buy fractional seats
No. Seats are integer units at 29 USD each per month.
What happens on downgrade if I have add-ons
Add-ons carry over to the lower tier. If you downgrade Growth to Pro but still have three extra add-on seats, Pro's one base seat plus three add-ons gives you four total.
Can I convert an add-on into a base seat by upgrading
Effectively, yes. Upgrading gives you the higher tier's base seats and your add-ons remain. Common flow: buy add-ons on Pro, upgrade to Growth, cancel the add-ons since Growth's base of five may already cover you.
Is annual billing available on add-ons
Add-ons follow the base subscription cadence. If the base is annual, add-ons bill annually at 29 x 12 per seat.
